Russell Guerin, AIA
Russell Guerin has been working in the field of architecture for over twenty years. He got his start with some of the best firms in the state of Connecticut such as Beinfield Architecture, Shope Reno Wharton and Mark Finlay Architects. His experience ranges from numerous custom residences, boutique commercial work, multi-family projects and planning level urbanism.
He is a graduate of Catholic University, where he graduated number one in his class, and has studied architecture abroad in Italy and Spain. A perennial student of architecture, he has traveled extensively. Places visited include Paris, Athens, Istanbul, Croatia, Copenhagen, Estonia, St. Petersburg, Helsinki, Stockholm, India, Israel, Peru and most recently, Japan.

Russell Guerin Architects takes inspiration from the rich history and architectural tradition of classic New England and especially of Connecticut. We strive to make a meaningful contribution to its heritage through quality design and construction.
Our present location in the lower Connecticut River valley and the shoreline, the home of the American Impressionist Movement, makes it a perfect setting for artistic endeavors.
Published in Luxury Home Builder magazine in 2003 this renovated home in Darien, Connecticut exemplifies the level of finish on our projects. Custom mouldings, panel work and staircase are featured.

This project was published in "The Day" newspaper of New London, Connecticut. The focus of the article and interview is a trend toward building on a smaller scale. This is a one-bedroom house in Chester, Connecticut. Chester has a long history of Greek Revival style houses which influenced the detailing of the home.
This exterior transformation in Easton, Connecticut was used by SVP Partners, a graphic arts firm in Wilton, Connecticut for the cover of Energy East Corp. of Maine's annual report for 2007.
